Sally Muir graduated from UNE 1970 BRurScience (Hons). She completed a doctorate at Sydney University in 1991 and worked at the University of Western Sydney in Informatics, Science and Technology and later at the Department of Primary Industries, based in Tamworth. In 2017, the University received a generous bequest from Dr Muir to assist students undertaking postgraduate studies in Agricultural Studies.
