Course Details

Build on your successes in the Bachelor of Biomedicine by completing Honours to enhance essential employability skills or take your first step to a career in research, academia and beyond. You'll conduct your own research project under the mentorship of La Trobe's expert researchers, building on the knowledge and accomplishments obtained in your Bachelor's degree, and gaining exposure to cutting-edge techniques and scientific advances. Honours in Biomedicine gives you the opportunity to specialise in the following disciplines: animal physiology and health agriculture biochemistry and cell biology chemistry environment and genetics human anatomy, physiology and pharmacology microbiology science education Projects are located at the Melbourne and Albury-Wodonga La Trobe campuses and at external research institutes such as the Baker Institute and Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Pass)

Course structure: To qualify for the award of Bachelor of Biomedicine (Honours), students must complete 120 credit points consisting of: 15 core credit points 90 prescribed elective credit points 15 elective credit points
