Each year, the Research School of Earth Sciences within the ANU College of Science and Medicine may offer an award known as the Dr Matthew Valetich Honours Scholarship in Geoscience. The objective of the Award is to provide financial assistance to a student undertaking their honours year in geoscience. Funding for this Award has been provided by Anglo American Exploration (Australia) Pty Limited in honour of Dr Matthew Valetich, a PhD graduate of the Research School of Earth Sciences.
