Founded in the Northern Rivers in 1994, Southern Cross University has several campuses along Australia’s east coast. Main campuses are located in the Northern Rivers (Lismore), Coffs Harbour and the Gold Coast and metropolitan campuses are located in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth, while the University's Hotel School delivers world-class hotel management programs in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. We also offer flexible, fully online degrees. All our courses are taught in the Southern Cross Model. This is a unique approach to university studies that delivers immersive education in six-week blocks, making study more focused, more flexible and more manageable. Our campuses are set in spectacular natural environments. Lismore features a rainforest setting and on-campus koala hospital. Coffs Harbour is at the heart of a thriving education hub with our National Marine Science Centre nearby and the Gold Coast campus sits just 400 metres from the beach, with stunning ocean views. Southern Cross offers a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses – from Business and Education, to Engineering, Health, Information Technology, Law, Science, Veterinary Sciences, Tourism, Social Work, and Community Welfare. Specialist degrees in Indigenous knowledge, osteopathy, midwifery and psychology as well as a suite of double degrees round out a rich academic portfolio. We also run pathway programs through SCU College and have a strong connection with Indigenous communities through Gnibi College of Indigenous Australian Peoples. Southern Cross researchers are globally recognised, with research impact clusters spanning Harvest to Health, Reefs and Oceans, ZeroWaste, and Catchments, Coasts and Communities.
