How we will use your personal information:
Austrade is collecting your personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy for the purpose of relaying your enquiry to your chosen educational institution and to provide you with information Austrade considers relevant to your interest in studying with Australia. Once you submit this form, Austrade's data processor (Hotcourses Pty Ltd ABN 33 129 643 670) will send an email containing your personal information to your chosen educational institution, Hotcourses Pty Ltd will retain your enquiry data, including your personal information, for one week following from submission to allow for error correction or to give the educational institution direct access to your enquiry if required. During this one week retention period Hotcourses will also pass your details on to Austrade for inclusion in a marketing list as detailed below. Thereafter, Hotcourses Pty Ltd will permanently delete your enquiry and all personal information that it contains. While care will be taken to ensure that your email is correctly transmitted, email communication is not a secure means of transmission. The educational institutions' respective privacy policies will apply once they receive your email enquiry. If you do not get a response within 7 days, please follow up with the educational institution directly.
Austrade will include your personal information in a marketing list. Marketing lists may be used by Austrade to:
- Contact you from time to time with information related to studying with Australia, that Austrade thinks may be of interest to you;
- Manage lead generation activities, and engage with you and others through digital and social media; and
- Target advertising on social media platforms, including through the creation of lookalike audiences.
Such use of marketing lists may involve disclosure of your personal information to third parties, such as research, marketing and media buying agencies, and social media platforms for the purpose of delivering campaigns and or research projects on behalf of Austrade. You may ask to be removed from Austrade's marketing lists at any time by contacting Austrade directly, you may also unsubscribe from emails at any time by clicking the 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of the email. Inaccuracy or non-collection of your information will impact the ability of Austrade to deliver your enquiry, and to communicate with you about other services or information you may be interested in. Disclosure of your personal information may include overseas recipients, given Austrade has international offices and service offerings. Austrade's collection and handling of your personal information is authorised by the Privacy Act 1988 and the Austrade Act 1985.
