Course Details

This course includes traditional accounting practices such as the collection, selection, analysis, evaluation and presentation of financial and related information and more. It also concentrates on new trends such as forensic accounting, ethics and regulatory compliance and develops skills and knowledge in economics, law, auditing, statistics, marketing and management. Accounting is a system that collects, measures and communicates all relevant financial information that an entity or a business requires for managing, reporting, resource allocation and decision making purposes. Students will be able to demonstrate their skills and knowledge in contemporary accounting issues in an industry focused environment. The development of key employability skills such as communication, collaboration, problem solving, self-direction and leadership are an important part of the course. The course is accredited by industry peak bodies such as: CPA Australia (CPAA) and Chartered Accountants Australia and New\ Zealand (CA ANZ) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).

Qualification: Master Degree (By Coursework)

Course structure: The program has been structured as a holistic program, in that traditional accounting subjects are included along with subjects from broader business fields such as management, business computing, business law, marketing, ethics and interpersonal and communication skills.
