Occupational hygienists apply scientific knowledge and techniques to the measurement and control of hazards that can harm the health and wellbeing of workers and others in the work environment. Designed for science, engineering and health science graduates, this specialist program will build on your scientific background, focusing on the practical skills and knowledge you will need to manage the health impacts of work environments. Learn about the consequences of exposure, how to quantitatively measure them, and what controls are required to reduce risk. Explore a broad range of health hazards, including airborne dusts, gases and vapours; physical hazards such as noise, vibration and radiation; biological hazards such as viruses and bacteria; ergonomic hazards and emerging risks such as nanotechnology.
