The Master of Information Technology (MIT) is a broad, flexible and technical degree. It offers exciting and diverse career opportunities and challenges. This program provides foundation IT skills for entrants with limited IT experience. It is also suited to experienced IT professionals wanting to enhance their skills. Enhance and apply your current skills within emerging technology driven growth areas. These areas include IT, communications, management, business and entrepreneurship. Broaden your career opportunities by developing advanced research and analytical skills. Students can choose to specialise in three key interest areas: - Business analytics - Management information systems. - Artificial Intelligence
Qualification: Master Degree (By Coursework)
Course structure: The program requirements and the volume of learning are dependent on the student's prior academic qualifications. To complete the Master of Information Technology: The MIT comprises of 160 units, in which students choose to complete a No-Specialisation or one Specialisation pathway. No Specialisation pathway: - Students complete 80 units of core courses and 80 units of courses chosen from the course list. Specialisation pathways Students may choose one from the following Specialisations: - Business Analytics Specialisation: 80 units of core courses, 40 units of compulsory courses and 40 units of courses chosen from the course list or; - Management Information Systems Specialisation: 80 units of core courses, 40 units of compulsory courses and 40 units of courses chosen from the course list or; - Artificial Intelligence Specialisation: 80 units of core courses, 40 units of compulsory courses and 40 units of courses chosen from the course list.
