Course Details
The Master of Design (Design and Construct) is a hands-on postgraduate qualification that equips students with an advanced understanding of the innovative, changing world of design. Students study emerging trends and technologies, contemporary design issues, construction challenges and management. With a strong focus on construction challenges, design principles and client considerations, students build on their previously acquired knowledge and skill set. A key part of learning relates to advanced research skills and students graduate with the cognitive skills needed to review and analyse research. Students also complete an industry placement as part of their studies.
Qualification: Master Degree (By Coursework)
Course structure: 72 units; 18 units of research studio; 18 units of project; 9 units of project report; 4.5 units of research methods; 4.5 units of business practices; 4.5 units of sustainability; 13.5 units of electives.
