Are you a registered nurse looking to become a midwife? By studying a postgraduate midwifery degree with UniSQ, you will receive broad experience in all care contexts, including First Nations health and human rights. Gain over 1000 hours of professional midwifery practice experience within a range of settings such as hospitals, family planning clinics, community health, and home visiting. You will experience professional midwifery practice in birth suites, antenatal clinics, postnatal and neonatal units. Under the supervision of a registered midwife, you will experience the continuity of care of a minimum of 10 women throughout their pregnancy. Learn to initiate, plan, implement and evaluate the management of a range of situations throughout a woman’s pregnancy, birth and early weeks of parenthood.
