Course Details

Graduate Diplomas prepare students to develop advanced knowledge and skills for professional or highly skilled work and further learning corresponding to AQF level 8 qualifications. The Graduate Diploma of Health Administration is designed for clinicians, managers and administrators who wish to up skill in areas of leadership and management, quality and safety, health economics, health policy, health systems as well as planning and evaluating health services. Students gain practical leadership and management skills that can be translated to the workplace, allowing them to lead and manage high performing teams in the healthcare environment. This course develops students ability to plan, manage, monitor and coordinate systems of health care delivery. It is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for senior administrative and planning positions in hospitals and other health service areas. It is aimed at both health professionals intending to acquire management and administrative skills and non-health professionals seeking a career in health administration.
