Course Details

Graduate Diplomas prepare students to develop advanced knowledge and skills for professional or highly skilled work and further learning corresponding to AQF level 8 qualifications. This course is designed for graduates interested in the promotion of human health and welfare who wish to gain the professional skills associated with the identification, assessment, evaluation and control of environmental hazards. The course provides opportunities for professionals in environmental health, health and safety, environmental protection, health promotion and related professions to acquire knowledge and develop skills appropriate to the management of environmental health protection and safety in public, commercial, industrial and voluntary organisations. It also expands the knowledge and skills base of public health specialists and other graduates of science and related disciplines, enabling them to successfully adapt to the changing environmental health needs of communities. All students will be required to undertake an academic skills module at the commencement of the course.
