The Australian International Institute of Higher Education (AIIHE) Graduate Certificate of Information Technology is embedded in the Master of Information Technology, Master of Information Technology (Cybersecurity), Master of Information Technology (Data Science) and has been designed as an optional exit award only at AQF Level 8. The Graduate Certificate course aims to provide a flexible, student-centred and academically rigorous course of study, which seeks to further develop students in information systems and technology for further study at the postgraduate level. This course seeks to provide students with postgraduate level of knowledge, and competencies necessary for an advancement in their career in various areas of information systems and technology within the ICT sector. For this reason, the course equips students with the knowledge and skills needed for paraprofessional of executive and management roles in ICT sector with proficient IT knowledge and skills and further study at the postgraduate level. Subjects focus on four core information technology subjects such as introduction to information technology, programming, database management systems, professional practice in ethics and emerging technologies.
