Certificate III in Dental Assisting - HLT35015


Course Details

This qualification reflects the role of workers who assist a dentist, dental hygienist, dental prosthetist, dental therapist or oral health therapist during oral health care procedures. Their role includes maintaining high standards of infection control, assisting with practice administration and supporting quality and professionalism in the dental sector.To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 250 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Qualification: Certificate III

Course structure: 11 units: 9 core, 2 elective

Applicants must possess Australian Core Skills Framework levels of at least 2 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication, and numeracy skills to successfully complete this program. Students who do not possess these skills to the level required will be enrolled in additional subjects to build the required skills.
