Course Details
This program prepares students for an effective starting career in tourism and hospitality, with a strong emphasis on case based learning that is built progressively through the three years of study. A feature of this program is the arrangement of visiting lecturers who are practitioners who will share their knowledge and experiences, and field trips that helps students to gain current understanding of the tourism and hospitality environments. To give students an added advantage in their career, subjects such as EcoTourism and Cultural and Heritage Tourism will be introduced to expose students to upcoming and niche tourism sectors. Subjects such as Project Management for Events, and Work-integrated Learning give students a more practical orientation towards their study and better prepare them for their career.
Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Pass)
Course structure: 24 subjects which include 16 core and 8 elective units, a balance spread of tourism and hospitality specific subjects and 2 work integrated learning subjects.
