Course Details

Bachelor Degrees prepare students to develop broad and coherent knowledge and skills in a discipline for professional work and further learning corresponding to AQF level 7 qualifications. Today, Mathematics plays an important role in the optimisation of industrial systems and is used in many fields, including technology, natural science, engineering, medicine, finance and the social sciences such as sociology and psychology. This Industrial Optimisation course is designed to provide students with the skills in mathematics, engineering and computing and to apply them to problems arising in business, industry and government. This course includes units in advanced calculus and linear algebra that provide foundation knowledge as well as units in modelling and optimisation, network design and analysis, logistics, supply chain networks, transportation networks, computational mathematics, statistics and probability. Industry-based units will help you to experience real applications. Graduates are well-equipped with the tools to address the key problems that need to be solved to improve the efficiency and productivity of business and industry.
