Course Details
This course develops originality and independence of thought and trains students in research. It is a path for students proceeding to a higher degree. Additionally, this course broadens knowledge and provides exposure to the latest developments in health related research, thereby enhancing employment prospects. The BSc (Health Sciences) (Honours) program enables students to build on the knowledge obtained in their undergraduate degree and focus on one of the following areas of study: health promotion, food science, nutrition, health safety and environment, epidemiology, exercise physiology, biomechanics, strength and conditioning, motor control and learning. As well as studying units in a chosen discipline, students will examine academic research methodology and enhance their analytical skills. Students will also complete a supervised research project and present findings as an honours dissertation.
