Course Details

Occupational therapists (OTs) work with those whose abilities are impaired by disease, physical injury, developmental abnormalities, emotional trauma, psychological problems or social disadvantage. Through the therapeutic use of self, activities, specialised skills and equipment, OTs assist those people to regain their abilities and live with meaning and purpose. Increasingly, occupational therapists are working in the community in different areas of practice such as schools. More emphasis is being given to health and wellbeing and prevention.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Honours)

Course structure: Qualification for the award of Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) requires the completion of 320 units of approved courses.
