Course Details

Follow in the footsteps of Nobel Prize winner Howard Florey and kick-start career in medical research with the Bachelor of Medical Science. Students will delve into genetics, immunology, nutrition, physiology, microbiology, biochemistry and anatomy to understand how the human body works. Learn directly from biomedical scientists and health professionals, who are working to develop new cancer vaccines or ground-breaking treatments for autoimmune diseases.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Pass)

Course structure: The Bachelor of Medical Science requires completion of 144 units, of which: A maximum of 60 units may come from completion of 1000-level courses, A minimum of 30 units must come from completion of 3000-level courses

Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Medical Science must maintain an average of 65 per cent across all compulsory and core courses each semester to remain in this program. Semester one admit only. This program can also be incorporated into a double degree through the Flexible Double in any of the three groups Arts, Business, Social Sciences, and Science or Engineering and Advanced Computing or Law.
