When you study a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering (Honours) you’ll develop complex technical skills to help solve the world’s greatest challenges. What is mechanical engineering? Mechanical engineers design, manufacture and optimise specialist machines and processes. Mechanical Engineering is at the heart of many aeronautical, motorsport and manufacturing teams. What is mechatronics? Mechatronics engineering involves the synergy of electrical, computer and mechanical technologies that lead to new solutions to industrial problems. Students study a diverse range of courses like technical design, automation, and operational performance of electromechanical systems. Mechatronics engineers work in industries such as defense, advanced manufacturing, mining and health.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Honours)

Course structure: The Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering (Honours) is a five year program, students are required to complete 400 units, which is comprised of: 360 units of core courses; 0-unit compulsory Industrial Experience 20 units of courses chosen from the Course List; and 20 units are elective courses.

It may not always be possible to complete this combined Engineering degree within 5 years. This combined Engineering degree is not available for midyear admission by international students.
