Course Details
Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science, Bachelor of Nutrition and Food Sciences double degree provides students with expertise in the areas of exercise and sport science, and nutrition and food science. The exercise and sport science component provides students with the knowledge to provide counselling to athletes, enhanced rehabilitation services, and to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of the population. The nutrition and food science component allows students to become an expert in all aspects of nutrition and food sciences and be ready to improve the health, fitness and wellbeing of the community.
Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Pass)
Course structure: 144 units; 8 Exercise and Sport Science courses; 11 core Human Movement courses; 13 courses in foundation and advanced level Nutrition.
Students undertaking activities where interaction with patients/the public is required, such as in field or clinical placements/visits and in University clinics and gyms, must demonstrate that they have a current National Police Clearance and a current National Criminal History Record Check (Child-Related Clearance) from the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) valid for the duration of the program. Students must also have a 'Provide First Aid Certificate', Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) and Mandatory Notification Training Certificate, prior to the commencement of any field placement.
