Course Details
This program provides an understanding of the importance of how we, and our activities, impact our planet. It also teaches how we manage human activity and create a sustainable balance with nature. Environmental Management is an all-encompassing area which looks to find the answers to a sustainable existence. This degree will provide students with a strong education in the skills and knowledge necessary to work or carry out research as an environmental scientist. They will learn to be able to place their understanding of the scientific aspects of the environment within the general context of the policy and legal framework of environmental regulations, as well as economic and social dimensions to environmental policy and management.
Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Pass)
Course structure: The Bachelor of Environmental Management program contains a core sequence of compulsory courses, a choice of disciplinary Majors and choices from a group of electives. The Majors include: Biology, Earth Science, Ecology, Environmental Chemistry, Geography and Marine and Coastal Science. This degree will provide students with a strong education in the skills and knowledge necessary to work or carry out research as an environmental scientist. Students will learn to be able to place their understanding of the scientific aspects of the environment within the general context of the policy and legal framework of environmental regulations, as well as economic and social dimensions to environmental policy and management.
