Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) (Honours)


Course Details

The Bachelor of Engineering (Mining Engineering) (Honours) covers key areas of mineral deposit evaluation and processing; underground mining, surface mining; and mine environment and safety. You will obtain a broad range of engineering skills in analysis and design, and complete a Capstone Honours research project over 2 semesters. This course provides you with real experience in your chosen profession, through our Co-operative Model.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Honours)

Course structure: This course consists of 480 credit points. Students will complete 30 core units, and a zero credit point Engineering Professional Practice unit.

Students must obtain at least twelve weeks of suitable practical experience before being eligible to graduate. This experience should expose the student to professional engineers and engineering technologists carrying out their typical duties. Further information: study.federation.edu.au
