Course Details

This program prepares students for a range of careers in the international hospitality industry through a multi-disciplinary program that incorporates simulations and real-life professional practices. The emphasis is on concepts of hospitality, critical consideration of management styles and strategic thinking. The degree concentrates on the corporate world of international hotel and hospitality management. In the program there is also the opportunity to specialise through a series of elective courses. These include concentrations in areas of food and beverage preparation, wine marketing and conferences and exhibitions management as they relate to the international hotel sector. The program is delivered in conjunction with the University of South Australia and TAFE SA Regency International Centre.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree (Pass)

Course structure: This course is structured on six 6-month semesters, including 4 semesters of academic study and 2 semesters of industry placement (internship). Subjects: Management concepts, Decision making for managers, Management information systems, Rooms division management, Strategies for globalised hospitality, Strategic management and Quality service management.
