Course Details

The Associate Degree of Business (Management) is embedded in the Bachelor of Business (Management) and has been designed as an exit qualification. It prepares students with the skills needed for paraprofessional of management and office administration roles in any business and further study at the bachelor level. The course provides students with a broad general education focusing on developing students knowledge and skills in business administration and management. Students are required to study nine core units which include Academic Skills for Success; Marketing Foundations; Business Communication and Stakeholder Management; Accounting for Managers; Principles of Management and Organisations; Foundations of Information Technology; Business and Corporations Law; Statistical Data Analysis for Business; and Leadership and Evidence-based Business Decision Making. These core units are enhanced with seven specialised management units which brings together the sub-disciplines of people and organisations, global business and data analysis.
